Melt your heart puppies! This mum and two puppies combo are lovely, although also a tad confusing. They are marked with W. Germany underneath and they are in the style of Goebel but sadly not marked as being made by him. I have researched and discovered that he did have two other people who created similar items for him – so it is possible that this is from his workshop but not actually by him…. Personally, I am not bothered by it….
I did spend a lot of time looking for something similar to these but was totally flummoxed. I could find a dog and one puppy but not a single one like this little family. The attachment of the chain to the collar means that it can easily be changed from two puppies to one and I have a feeling that that is exactly shat has happened to the others like this. I guess if one got damaged people simply removed it the attached chain. That is why I don’t mind that these are not marked with Goebels – because I know that they are totally unique!
