This vintage postage stamp cabochon necklace is from a series of British stamps from 1993 that celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of John Harrison. John Harrison invented the marine chronometer, a device for solving the problem of calculating longitude while at sea. It comes from a series of 4 stamps designed by Howard Brown. It is a pendant that makes you want to keep staring at it as it gives the impression of a slight 3D effect. The stamp is mounted in a chrome setting by me. I have taken a picture of a similar stamp to the one inlaid so you can see what it looked like originally. This would make a wonderful gift.
The pendant is water resistant, but not waterproof. So I would advise taking it off before showering, bathing or swimming.
The price includes the pendant, and necklace and the postage is free.
